My annual trip to Byron Glacier. This glacier is near Portage Glacier (about 40 miles south of Anchorage). It's an easy hike, and I go down there at leat once every summer, to see how it changes (it's surprising how much the snow fall in front of the glacier changes every year). They're upgrading the trail, but I'm not sure how far they got on that project (the trail near the parking lot is quite nice, but it gets very rocky farther in).
