Shrugging

Playing with Steve's pitbull puppy (no, it's not a puppy anymore!) 1998.

Trying to act cool near Byron Glacier.

Right after I bought my house, 1993. Looking a little traumatized.

I look like I'm 12 here, but I think it was closer to 34.

Unshowered in McCarthy-waiting for my pizza.

Hatcher Pass, watching paragliders, but I have no explanation for the hair.

Speaking of hair...

Prince William Sound.

On the trail to Eagle Lake, 1995.

Being a dud..er..stud.

Same dud, same glacier.

Jumping (ok, falling) over the Kuskalana River.

Stopping to smell the...ok, not roses, but some flower.

My first (solo) apartment! It smelled like pee, at least I think it was the apartment that smelled like pee.

Me, about 5 minutes after I was born (I was a BIG baby!) I still look like this...how sad.

Born in-
March, 1965
Born at-    Cordova, Alaska (my dad was stationed in the Coast Guard there)
Height- 6'6" (yes, really)
Weight- Fat. (well, I feel like it currently)
Eyes- Intense blue (ok fine, dull blue and dimwitted looking!)
Hair-  Brownish-red, and usually fairly short (with an ever-increasing amount of grey)
Facial Hair- Goatee (was trendy a few years back, now it's just that I'm too damn lazy to shave that part of my face)
Piercings- Nope! (well, not anymore!)
Tattoos- Nope! (they just DON'T go well with freckles)
Drink/Alcoholic Yep! (send booze!) Favorite drink: Margaritas!!! Malibu Coke!!! All right-I'll have to admit that the only type of alcohol that I don't like is scotch. :-)
Drink/Non-Alcoholic Orange Juice-I drink that stuff by the gallon.
Food- Yes, please! hee hee..I crack myself up. Pretty much anything except Thai. Love a good steak, or spaghetti, or crab, or BBQ ribs..see? too long a list.
Drugs- No. I'm goofy enough without them. Just never had a need, I guess.
Work- Nope! (just kidding, I have a great job at the University of Alaska Anchorage)
Hobbies- Digital photography, reading, working on the house/in the yard, working on computers, goofing off.
Favorite TV Shows Southpark, Stargate SG-1, the Simpsons, Deep Space 9, Futurama. (and yes, I know those last two aren't on anymore!)
Favorite Music A very special someone noticed I didn't mention what music I like, so here it is: I have fairly varied tastes (yes, I know everyone says that), but I can tell you that the only music I don't care for is most Country and Rap. Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Matchbox twenty, Elton John and ABBA are some of my favorites. I tend to listen to classical when I'm alone in the car, though.
Favorite Book Dune, By Frank Herbert.
Favorite Movie Tough call...it depends on my mood, but Star Trek: First Contact, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Back to the Future and the X-Men movies would be on the list.
Play/winter- Basically, I'm a nerd, so I love computers, reading, the movies, hanging out with my great friends- anything that keeps me out of the sun. :-)
Play/summer- Okay, even nerds go outside in the summer. I love to bike, hike and camp...what better place for all of that than Alaska? (OK, I'll admit it-I still camp at my computer in the summer! geesh..I need to get a laptop!) Oddly, I love mowing the lawn, too.
Addictions: HGTV & FoodTV (Jamie Oliver!), the Internet, Orange Juice, Alan. :)
Some random things I love- Sunsets, camping in McCarthy, the Coastal Trail at dusk (in the summer), rocky road ice cream, the wings at Wings-n-Things downtown, the Castro in SF, my house, taking a hot shower on a cold day, and stupid little smiley faces. :-)
Some random things I hate- People who drive too slow in the left lane/don't use their turn signals, intolerance, liars, smelling like smoke after I leave a bar, green beans, bubble-gum ice cream, and not being able to find pants that are long enough. :-(
